TAG Internships

TAG offers internships throughout the school year in both our HR/Administrative Department and Sales & Consulting Department.  Our interns provide TAG with unique perspectives which we incorporate in our everyday company culture.  Interns learn company systems, daily operations, and leadership development from our management team.  Interns are a crucial part of TAG as we learn from them as much as they learn from us!

Favorite way to spend a Sunday:

I would start off my day by making a fulfilling and hearty breakfast considering that most days I'm running out the door with a granola bar in my hand. Afterwards I would spend time with my roommates and watch one of our "apartment favorites", usually a Disney classic. If it was warm out I would head over to beach or to the pool because the water is my second home. During the winter I would spend time painting, its the best stress reliever! I would end my night with dinner at a Mediterranean restaurant because lets be honest, its the best!

Where are you from? What path brought you here?

I am from Chino Hills, CA. I am a third year student at the University of California, Irvine majoring in Psychology and Social Behavior and minoring in Management. I'm interested in Human Resources because I see myself recruiting, managing employee wellness programs, and creating a positive corporate environment for employees. Interning at TAG Energy has been giving me the hands on experience is was looking for and has made me realize HR is something I can see myself enjoying.

I've recently become interested in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange Country and I'm planning on applying to be a Big Sister. What initiated me to get involved was attending a Women's leadership conference at my University and listening to how rewarding it feels to watch your "little" be the first to graduate from high school. Many of these children come from underprivileged backgrounds and look up to mentors like those in this program, to help guide them in a direction toward success. I hope to become more involved in this philanthropic organization as a way to give back to my mentors who've helped me reach my own goals.

I am always up for any kind of volunteer work. My high school schedule always included community service events, whether it was cleaning up beaches on the weekends or mentoring elementary school children on weekdays--I made time to give back to my community. It is wonderful experience to be able to go to an elementary school and help children that are not always able to receive help at home I am particularly interested in volunteer work that focuses on building and strengthening communities. I believe it’s important to help communities that lack resources for their residents.

Personally, I am passionate about learning and immersing myself in different cultures. Specifically, I love to do this through travel. I love trying different foods and also learning about different cultures. Whether it’s learning the love for tea in Morocco, learning how to siesta like a Grecian, or even learning how to arrive on time by actually arriving late in Spain--every new culture introduces me to something different. I am beyond excited to plan my next cultural experience. Living abroad for a whole year is definitely on my bucket list!
